Research On The Digital Toolkit And Its Application Ideology Of Urban Design

With the increased urbanization rate and urban sustainable development goals,in the background of the increasing complexity of the city,the refinement of urban design has become the top priority.In the current context of informationization and digitization,only using the method of traditional urban design to complete the intergration and arrangement of urban space is increasingly difficult,while the rapid development of the digital tools of urban design do open a new path for urban design study.The intervention of the digital tool makes the urban design to maintain effectiveness in today’s urban development,also playing a more important role as well.In the actual operation of urban design projects,on the one hand,urban design does have its complexity and fuzziness,on the other hand,the digital tool itself is not ‘value neutrality’,if designer cannot combined the digital tool with the process and purpose of the design in a systematic and comprehensive view,the goals and the results might have deviation causing by single purpose such as efficiency,benefit for trend.Therefore,how to ues digital means with scientificity and systematicness has now become a hot and difficult contemporary urban study.The paper Follow the technical route of “theory research-phenomenon analysis--system construction-classification parsing-examples application”.Firstly it has a literature review about the The urbanization process and the sustainable development of city,the current situation of urban design and its digital tools though the domestic and foreign research.And detailed analysis two basic concepts——digital toolkit of urban design and the urban meso-microscopic spaces,providing a solid theoretical foundation for the following studies.On the one hand,the paper starts from the content and characteristics of the technological base of urban design,summarizes and analyzes the new tools,new laws and new phenomenon relating to technology base in urban design operation,tries to discuss the questions about the relationship between the design tool and urban design,the self characteristics of the urban design of digital tools and so on.On the other hand,it starts from the research of urban meso-microscopic spaces,finds its characteristics about space form,activities and its stages,pointing out the direction of the later application system.On the basis of the above study,the paper constructs the application system of urban design digital toolkit,and expounds its application in three level: design system,physical city and cultural city.Also,the paper analysises the digital tools with its sub toolkits in detail.Via the comparison and analysis of characteristics and adaptability of digital tools,the application of thinking can be promoted.By combing practical design with application system,the system can be completed and verified to help architect insight into the contemporary urban design development trend,improve the overall level of design and effectiveness and provide a reference for future research and space construction of the city.
