Design Research On The Role Of Visual Factors In The Elderly New Media Reading

With the support of new media technology,reading on new media product plays an increasingly large proportion.It even becomes an absolutely necessary part of our life.It can be said that our life turned around completely.As we can see,new media reading is impera tive.However,the elderly people,as one of the most special social groups,have not any priority in new media reading.It is still worthy of attention to look into the way,the attitude and the experience they read by new media products.This study is focused on the effect of the visual factors during reading with new media product of the elderly.It summarized the characteristics of nowadays reading product interfaces,and finds out the visual experience design factors of new media reading in the elderly people.No matter what kind of interactive modes,multimedia performance,the body of reading content remains the most meaningful and essential demand,and also the most often neglected by designers.The establishment of the visual style,visual structure construction,format arrangement,color and other auxiliary elements of design,are all the visual experience design factors we focused in this research.Based on the data of the elderly reading habits and behavior from our research and analysis,we find out the relation of the reduced visual acuity in the elderly and their reading.It is a look into the visual factors in the elderly reading,focusing the significant issue,looking for the influential factors,analyzing out a suitable design scheme and to enrich the field of the elderly user experience design research.Based on the data about reading visual experience factors research,this study makes some suggestions on theoretically and attempts practically.And we finally carries out tests and evaluations to verify the effectiveness of the design method on this study theory.
