Study On Parents' Travel Mode Choice Based On Family Structure

Travel behavior analysis is based on the travel habits of individual travel behavior research,it has an important role in traffic demand management.Travelers in the course of travel will chose travel mode based on individual wishes,personal preferences,personal economic and social attributes and family property Family structure is an important manifestation of family attributes,affecting family members in the livelihoods,housework,leisure and other activities in the choice,and thus affect the activities out of home.Travel as a derivative demand,inevitably affected by the family structure.Since the family members are responsible for family tasks and household chores,the family structure has a greater impact on adults than on minors.It is of great practical significance to study the travel behavior of parents in different family structure for students' families.This article studies parents' behavior of travel mode choice based on different family structures,constructs the model of parents' travel mode choice by MNL model and residents' travel survey data to analyze the impact of various factors on the way parents choose travel mode.It is found that under the constraints of different family structure conditions,the influencing factors of travel mode choice and the influence level are different,and the selection characteristics of travel mode show different characteristics.
