With the development of society and economy,the contradiction between water resource and the production and life of human beings deepens gradually.Chongqing is one of the four municipalities,and also the economic center of upper region of the Yangtze River.However,Chongqing's per capita quantity of water resource is only half of the country's.Therefore,it is urgent to understand the situation of sustainable utilization of water resource in Chongqing.Basing on the findings achieved at home and abroad,this dissertation use synthetically fuzzy evaluation method to evaluate the sustainable utilization of water resource in Chongqing.The main results are as follows:(1)On the basis of the study of the background and significance of sustainable utilization of water resource,this paper discusses the present situation of the ability of sustainable utilization of water resource in China and abroad from the following three aspects of the sustainable utilization of water resource,the study of the index system and the evaluation methods.Besides,according to the current research results,this paper arouses some problems existing in the evaluation of sustainable utilization of water resource as well.(2)This paper analyzes the basic situation of Chongqing from the perspectives of natural geography and social economic geography,and dissect water resource in Chongqing from the aspects of water resource,water supply and use.Thus we could draw the conclusion that the water resource utilization in Chongqing depends more on surface water at present than on underground water according to the current situation of water supply and that production water supply takes the largest proportion of the total quantity,second industrial water consumption is of the highest percentage and the third industrial water is the least consumption..On the basis of that,the problems of water resource utilization in Chongqing are listed as following: the imbalance between supply and demand of water resource,the conspicuous water environment problem,the low rate of utilization of water resource,the irrational structure in water consumption and the bad effect brought by drought and flood disaster.(3)The paper discussed the theoretical principles from introducing the connotation and structured principles of sustainable utilization of water resource,.According to the characteristics of water resource and regional characteristics of Chongqing,the comprehensive evaluation system of sustainable utilization of water resource in Chongqing is divided into four criteria,they are water resource conditions,water resource development and utilization level,coordination level of water resource and social economy,coordination degree betw een water resource and ecological environment.The evaluation system of sustainable utilization of water resource in Chongqing city is established,which consists of 4 criteria,12 constraints and 41 indexes.In addition,the weight of the system is determined by the comprehensive evaluation method of AHP and entropy weight method.(4)The sustainable utilization of water resource in Chongqing is divided into five grades of “inferior”,"poor","medium","good" and "excellent" as national standard value,the domestic and foreign developed area and the actual situation of Chongqing.This paper applied the fuzzy method to evaluate the sustainable utilization of water resource in Chongqing comprehensively.Fuzzy comprehensive evaluation assess the object grade based on the value of fuzzy evaluation muster accorded to the maximum membership grade principle based on the data processing by Visual Basic.(5)After the fuzzy evaluation of the sustainable utilization of water resource in Chongqing the author finds that the sustainable utilization of water resource in Chongqing was on the rise from 2.85 in 2006 to 3.59 in 2015.There was a slight fluctuation during 2006 to 2009,then the tendency became smooth,and dips slightly in 2012,2013.The fluctuation of the coordination level between water resource and social environment,the coordination level between water resource and ecological environment affect the whole level of 2013.On the whole,the sustainable utilization of water resource in Chongqing is in the middle level.The improvement of index over the past two years showed that the sustainable utilization of water resource in Chongqing has great potential for development.With the increasing of the investment in environmental protection,innovation of science and technology,the growth of researching staffs and the improvement of water pollution,Chongqing municipal government has been improving the sustainable utilization of water resource greatly.(6)Through the analysis it can be found that the quality,the utilization ratio and the environment of water resource have become the vital factors of sustainable utilization of water resource in Chongqing.Around these reasons and combining the actual situation of Chongqing,this paper put forward the corresponding countermeasures for the sustainable utilization of water resource: focusing on the utilization of groundwater in the Karst Zone;building a water-saving society and improve the efficiency of w ater resource utilization;paying attention to the construction of ecological environment,increaseing the ratio of water to environment stressing the artificial precipitation enhancement in the west region of the nation and developing rainwater resources according to local conditions.
