Research On The Inside-outside Space Conversion Of Functional Replacement-Oriented Refurbishment

Function replacement has been one of the most popular way of renovation,which is a result of a balance of a fusion of social,economic,cultural and physical space.As the building function been changed,the first thing should been consider is whether the old building space match the new building function.When the space can't meet the needs of new function,the spcace have to be refurbished.Inside-outside space conversion is a popular design method which is often used in renovation,and this dissertation study this design method.The dissertation contain 6 chapter:The first chapter is about the research background,research method and the outline of the dissertation,besides,it also contains a brief summary about the existing research finding;The second chapter is about the definition of Function,Inside and Outside Space,Functional Replacement,and the relationship between these keywords;The third chapter analysis when to use this design method and the type of this desing method;The forth chapter is about the operation of space when using this design method.The analysis can be divided into three part:conversion of sigle space,the organization of several space and the expression of space.This chapter is aim to answer the question of how to convert the inside and outside space on the perspective of space.The fifth chaper is about the constrction,and the discussion is mainly about structure and surface.This chapter is aim to answer the question of how to constrct.The last chaper concludes the achievements on research and discuss the problem found during the research.
