A Study On Risk Management Of Construction Projects

Risk management is playing a more and more important role in many fields.In the field of the construction because of so many stakeholders and the longer project cycle comparing with the situation in other areas,so that it exists a lot of uncertain factors in the whole cycle of the construction project.The situation of projects is complex and changeable,so the risk should be paid enough attention.Especially in the international engineering field,no matter exports or imports,whether a project can be successfully implemented is based on the identification,assessment and control of the risks according to the objective conditions.At first this thesis introduces the history of risk management and the domestic and international research status,combined with the lack of risk management in the construction field the significance of risk management is given,clarifies the innovation points on the aspect of improvement measures of risk management and the purpose that intend to reach.Secondly,it introduces the basic theory of risk management,including the concept,the objective,the process and the methods,and several common methods of risk management as examples are presented.Once more,based on the content and characteristics of the risk management,through the introduction of two cases of domestic and international engineering-projects,the thesis compares and analyzes the situation of risk management-process in financial,safety and other aspects of the case project,thus a more accurate and effective method of risk-management will be found.Then,through the summary of the comparison and analysis of the risk in the case project,the common,characteristic and core risks are clarified,and the improvement measures are given.Finally,the situation of risk management in the actual work of construction project management is discussed.As the summary the measures and the proposals of how to strengthen the efforts of the risk-management in the future will be given.
