Based on the present situation of aircraft manufacturing enterprise,research on optimal design for aircraft final assembly line was carried out to improve product quality and production efficiency of the enterprise and provide a reference for other similar factories.The main contents are as follows:(1)Analysis of the current situation of aircraft final assembly lineThe present situation of a certain aircraft total assembly line was introduced,and the problems existing in the assembly line were analyzed to determine the direction for the following specific optimal design.The overall assembly process was established and the number of required workstations was determined.(2)Optimal design for aircraft final assembly line balancingTo realize the optimal design for the cycle time of a certain aircraft total assembly line,and improve the balance rate of assembly stations and utilization of labor,an optimization model seeking the smallest cycle time and the smallest smoothness index was proposed under constraints such as the operation order constraints.A Hierarchical 3-Population Genetic Algorithm(H3PGA)was adopted to obtain the optimal solution,solving assembly line balancing type-2 problem(ALBP-2)and assembly line balancing type-3 problem(ALBP-3)comprehensively.A case was shown to prove effectiveness and feasibility of this approach for solving this problem.(3)Optimal design for aircraft assembly workshop layoutTo optimize a certain aircraft assembly workshop layout,general facility layout method and system layout planning(SLP)theory were combined to get the integrated system layout planning(ISLP)theory.A case was shown to prove that ISLP theory can reduce the material handling amount,improve the space utilization rate,and improve management convenience,flexibility and extensibility of the plant.(4)Design of material distribution system for aircraft final assembly lineAiming at the problems existing in the material distribution system of a certain aircraft total assembly line,the three main elements of the material distribution system were redesigned to make material placement more clean and reasonable,and material access and transportation more convenient.The process of the material from the material storage center to the line material inventory point was designed to achieve automatic and timely distribution of materials,reducing the cost of material distribution and improving the efficiency of material distribution.Finally,summary for the whole work was given,and some advanced topics to be research-ed further were also discussed.
