In the past three decades,with the continuous development of China’s national economy and the continuous advancement of the urban-rural economic integration process,the living conditions of urban and rural residents have gradually improved.Social life has become the consensus of the times.The research on barrier-free design in China started in the urban environment.Compared with cities,the development of barrier-free construction in rural areas in China lags far behind.There are currently 83.137 million people living in rural areas in China,of which 17.9% are elderly people over 60 years old and about 10% of people with disabilities,carrying out research on barrier-free design of rural living spaces and improving the living conditions of vulnerable groups living in rural areas Importantly,this is an important part of advancing the construction of beautiful villages,and it also contributes to the realization of the national rural revitalization strategy.Through research on the current situation of barrier-free environment construction at home and abroad,drawing on the design achievements of urban barrier-free environment development,at the same time,based on the current situation of rural environment in Beijing suburbs,the needs of the crowd and the configuration of barrier-free facilities,combined with the overall goal of beautiful rural construction,explore the rural suburbs of Beijing Principles and methods of space barrier-free design.On this basis,the above research results are applied to the barrier-free design of the village public space in Yuxinzhuang Village,Shahe Town,Beijing Suburb.Basic power protection for vulnerable groups in rural areas.Improving the barrier-free design of rural spaces is also of great significance for improving the quality of rural environments and promoting the construction of beautiful villages.
