As the infrastructure of inter-city passenger flow communication,the railway promotes the growth of national economy and living standard.In order to increase the capacity of railway network and to meet the exchange of goods between cities,it is necessary to study the planning scheme before railway construction.In order to avoid resources wasted by unscientific planning and irrational layout,avoid insufficient transport capacity and transportation inconvenience caused by unreasonable planning structure,to evaluate the rationality of railway network planning has become the important step to ensure the healthy development of social economy.Accessibility is an important factor to influence regional railway network planning,which can be used to judge the rationality and the attractive of the planning road network,also it is convenient to solve the transportation problem.This paper summarizes the basic theory,configuration,the method of space segmentation and main variables of space syntax.Based on the comparative analysis of the accessibility measurements and existing researches of the space syntax in the transportation network,a regional railway network accessibility evaluation based on spatial syntax is proposed.It also proves the applicability of space syntax and the extended method of space segmentation.On basic of this,we build a reachability evaluation system composed of syntactic shape variables such as integration degree,intelligibility and intelligent degree.And we realize that accessibility and rationality can make a study of the regional railway network structure.In the case of sichuan railway line,we take the expansion of the space syntax method to do a good evaluation,and use the syntax software(UCL Depthmap)to get the data variables which include the railway network and the planning railway network,then we compare and analyze the accessibility evaluation index of both.The results show that the accessibility of the existing railway network is general.The distribution of accessibility values is high in the center of the network structure,and the surrounding situation is low,and the distribution of line network is uneven and the structure rationality needs to be improved.For the vision of the railway network,the accessibility is higher than the existing railway network.The distribution of the network is more even,the layout is more uniform,and the rationality of the structure has improved.When the accessibility of regional railway network be put forward on space syntax,the results provide the images and data support to plan the railways properly.And the accessibility of road network structure can be understood more easily and quickly.
