The Xiangli Traditional Village Layout And Architectural Forms

Shanxi is the origin of the Sanjin culture,and the historical context is very far away.The whole Shanxi region has a unique topography and landform in China.It is a gully region of the Loess Plateau composed of the Yellow River basin and special loess soil.Under the conditions of special terrain and climatic and hydrological conditions,it has produced a traditional settlement system with a wide range of distribution and profound cultural connotations.The most widely distributed is the rural settlement,which is the most basic social structural unit of the Chinese feudal society.The Shanxi region has a wide span with complex topography and landforms.Different types of residential buildings and rural settlements have been developed under different geographical conditions.In some aspects,Shanxi residential architecture has a homogenous aspect,but more is the combination of regional environment and humanistic culture to create a disparate style of settlement.Each settlement is the organic integration of the long-term environment and human wisdom.It is a witness and a product of history.It has a strong vitality and it stands on this land with the transformation of time and space.Xiangli Village is a typical mountainous settlement,located in the Jinzhong region.The architectural form of the entire settlement blends the style features of Jinxi and Jinzhong.It is a village with historical and cultural research value.The history of Xiangli Village can be traced back to the Warring States period.It has a history of nearly 2300 years.The existing architectural pattern and style are the traditional settlement houses of the Qing Dynasty.This paper focuses on the research of Xiangli Village based on the combination of field surveys and historical data,and analyzes the environmental,humanities,history,culture,spatial patterns,architectural forms,and value characteristics of the entire Xiangli Village from different dimensions.Analysis and research.Under the background that traditional culture and history are escalating under the circumstance of modern society’s constant erosion,this paper firstly demonstrated the special geographical environment and history of Xiangli Village from the aspects of location,natural environment,historical evolution,and cultural landscape of Xiangli Village.Under the conditions of the entire village evolution process and cultural paralysis.Secondly,this article will analyze the landscape structure and spatial distribution of Xiangli Village from the perspective of the overall settlement,and deeply explore the structure of the points,lines,and surfaces of the Xiangli Village on the plane level.Then,according to the survey drawings,field photographs,and textual data on field surveys,the architectural forms of Xiangli villagers’ homes were analyzed.From the architectural specialty point of view,the unit,form,composition,function,spatial form,architectural technology,and decorative art of the buildings were constructed.Analyze the aspects.Finally,this paper will analyze its important historical and cultural values ??by evaluating the overall value of the hilly settlements in Xiangli Village.Through this article,the readers will be able to understand the tremendous value of traditional settlements and formulate reasonable plans for our current protection and development of traditional residential buildings.Lay a solid foundation.
