With the rapid development of global economy and sharp increase in the emission of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases, global warming now becomes a common challenge faced by all the countries.Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change(IPCC)put forward that carbon cycle changes in earth system is the primary cause for climate warming. In order to better cope with climate changes, international conventions about climate issues such as United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change,Kyoto Protocol and Paris Agreement were successively concluded by international community,of which carbon sink is an important component. In China, the researches of carbon sink economy mainly focuses on the development of forest carbon sink, while the development of grassland carbon sink is still in the initial stage.Being an incentive measure for economic development of grassland carbon sink, grassland carbon sink compensation plays a non-negligible role in the development of grassland carbon sink.Favorable grassland carbon sink compensation mechanism embodies in the harmonious development of each factor, based on which, this thesis analyzed, built and simulated Chinese grassland carbon sink compensation mechanism. In the first part of this thesis, the background, significance, domestic and foreign research situations of Chinese grassland carbon sink compensation mechanism as well as research methods, research ideas and major contents of this thesis were introduced. In the second chapter,on the basis of massive amount of literatures, relevant concepts of grassland carbon sink and grassland carbon sink compensation were defined, based on which, the theories and methods of system dynamics were analyzed, thus providing a theoretical basis for consequent researches. In the fourth chapter, from the perspective of international framework, the influences of international conventions such as Kyoto Protocol and Paris Agreement on Chinese grassland carbon sink compensation were objectively described.Through the researches and discussions on the current situation, the existing problems in Chinese grassland carbon sink compensation mechanism were analyzed from the aspects of government and market. In the fourth chapter,a feasibility analysis of the variables involved in Chinese grassland carbon sink compensation mechanism was carried out and system dynamics methods was utilized to build a cause and effect diagram based on loop relationship concerned in the mechanism.Besides, the feedback relationship was analyzed,so as to reveal variables involved in the mechanism and the mutual influences. The fifth chapter adopted ideas and methods of system dynamics to build a system dynamics model.Through SD drawing, detailed instructions on the operation mechanism of grassland carbon sink compensation were given, and the sub-systems were further analyzed. In line with variable analysis involved in SD diagram, massive amount of relevant data were collected, and then an analogue simulation of the model was conducted by using Vensim DSS software, whose results were further dissected. It is seen from the results that the government's and market's two-way compensation behaviors play an irreplaceable role in the grassland carbon sink compensation mechanism.Lastly,on the basis of system dynamics analysis, specific policy suggestions on Chinese grassland carbon sink compensation mechanism were proposed.Through the current situation analysis of Chinese grassland carbon sink compensation mechanism as well as the design and simulation of the mechanism,an interactional compensation mechanism among government, market and individuals was obtained. Therefore,to set up and develop Chinese grassland carbon sink compensation mechanism, government, market and individual factors as well as law, propaganda and other elements should all be taken into consideration.
