Casuarina is the main tree species of coastal shelterbelt. This research was to conduct a comprehensive investigation about Wood-decaying fungi growing on Casuarina and to clarify its species of Wood-decaying fungi in Hainan, especially on pathogenic Wood-decaying fungi infecting Casuarina stumpage. Our purpose is in order to explore Wood-decaying fungi having development value on Casuarina ,to provide a theoretical basis for the effective prevention and treatment of wood-decaying fungi diseases on Casuarina and to further enhance the economic benefits of Casuarina forest. From 2012 to 2015,we investigated the Wood-decaying fungi growing on Casuarina in Haikou, Lingao, Lingshui, Danzhou, Wanning et al.Wood-decaying fungi specimens collected from each city and county. The resultes were shown as follows:1.The survey collected a total of 355 specimens of wood-decaying fungi belonging to 2 divisio,3 classis,8 ordo,9 familia,23 genera,64 species and found a new record of Ganoderma species.2.Fungi belong to Ganodermaceae and Polyporaceae are the main component of wood-decaying fungi on Casuarina, accounting for 83% of the total number of species in wood-decaying fungi species collected. Two families accounted for 93% Total number of fruiting bodies of wood rot fungi fruiting bodies collected, which is the dominant families in wood-decaying fungi on Casuarina.3.Wood-decaying fungi growth are closely related to climate.Within a certain range, species diversity increases with temperature and rainfall increases, the growth rate slowed down after reaching a peak, even a slight decline.4.Six kinds of wood-decaying fungi were found parasites on Casuarina stumpage, identified as pathogenic wood-decaying fungi:Ganoderma australe, G. brownii, G.limushanense,G.shangsiense,G. Tropicum,Phellinus noxius.Ganodermaceae is the main component in them.5.Biological characters of the Pathogen which causes The red-root disease on Casuarina were determined in the study. Results showed that The red-root disease found on Casuarina was identified as Ganoderma tropicum (Jungh.) Bres. The illumination was not conducive to mycelia growth; The optimum temperature and pH value for mycelia growth was 30?34? and 5.0?6.0; Soya Peptone were the best nitrogen sources for mycelia growth.Galactose and Sucrose were better than the other carbon sources; Only Casuarina was infected with the pathogen among inoculated seedlings.
