Health Management On Metabolic Syndrome Patients

? Objective: Investigate the living habits of the metabolic syndrome(MS)patients in Guilin and the influence of health managementintervention on the metabolic syndrome parameters of MS patients.Methods: 109 cases of patients with MS were selected by randomsampling from who received regular physical examination from April toNovember 2015 in the Medical examination center,using thequestionnaire survey to gather the life style of patients with MS,then fiveto six months health management which priority to diet and exerciseintervention were given.The metabolic syndrome parameters before andafter intervention were detectioned and compared by physicalexamination(height,weight)and biochemical indicators(blood pressure,blood sugar and blood lipid).Using SPSS22 statistical software toanalysis the data.Results: Before intervention,the metabolic syndromeparameters of BMI,SBP,DBP,FPG,TG,HDL-C is 27.40(26.07,29.68)Kg/m2,148.00(139.50,154.50)mmHg,91.00(84.00,98.00)mmHg,6.14(5.59,6.91)mmol/L,2.46(1.82,3.41)mmol/L,1.08(0.90,1.29)mmol/L,and the prevalence of the metabolic syndrome parameters of BMI,BP,FPG,TG,HDL-C is 97.25%,88.99%,59.63%,82.57%,23.85%.Using BMI,BP,FPG,TG,DHL-C as a separate component,the prevalence of patients with only five,four,and three components as a combination is 10.09%,32.11%,57.80%,respectively,the combination of BMI+BP+TG disorder is the most popular phenotype(28.44%),the secondly is BMI+BP+FPG+TG(22.02%).After intervention,the metabolic syndrome parameters of BMI,SBP,DBP,FPG,TG,HDL-C is 26.33(25.02,27.95)Kg/m2,130.00(121.50,136.00)mmHg,83.00(77.00,88.00)mmHg,5.62(5.12,6.01)mmol/L,1.55(1.14,1.97)mmol/L,1.19(1.03,1.44)mmol/L,BMI,FPG,TG,SBP and DBP were reduced and HDL-C was improved(P<0.01).The difference is statistically significant.Conclusion: Diet control and exercise therapy can effectively improve the metabolic syndrome parameters of MS patients,is an economic and effective way to prevention and control MS.
