Clinical Research On Head Point-through-point Acupuncture Treatment For Urinary Retention After Cerbral Infarction

Objective:To investigate through comparison and observation,the clinical effectiveness of head point – through – point acupuncture of scalp for urinary retention after cerebral infarction.Methods:Divide 120 patients randomly into 3 groups: 40 treated with head point – through – point acupuncture of scalp combined with body acupuncture therapy(point – through – point group);40 treated with electro acupuncture with body acupuncture therapy(electro group);40 treated with western medicine combined with body acupuncture therapy(medicine group);7 days per course,2courses in total.Compare and score the effectiveness of the therapy for the 3groups before and after the treatment,including bladder functionary score,nervous system lack of function score and examining the residual urine in the bladder by B-ultrasound.Result: Comparing the 3 groups according to the modern standard of evaluating the therapeutic effectiveness for urinary retention after cerebral infarction,the scalp group has a therapeutic effectiveness of 92.5%,higher than the electro group which has a rate of 82.5% and the medicine group of 67.5%.The difference has statistical significance(P<0.05).Head point – through – point acupuncture of scalp combined with body acupuncture therapy has great therapeutic effectiveness in treating urinary retention after cerebral infarction,significantly more effective than electro acupuncture and medicine treatment.Conclusion:1.Residual urine in the bladder by B-ultrasound shows that head point – through – point acupuncture of scalp therapy gives significantly less residual urine in the bladder than electro acupuncture and medicine treatment.2.The significant improvement of neurological defeat scores shows that head point – through – point acupuncture of scalp is much more effective than electro acupuncture and medicine treatment.3.Head point – through – point acupuncture of scalp treatment is a significant effective method.It is worth applying in clinic practice.
