A Study Of Translation Of The Terminology Of Air Cargo Transportation

This paper is an analysis and discussion about the translation of the terminology of air cargo transportation. Firstly, the author made a brief introduction about the environment and situation of air cargo transportation. In the second part, the author made an analysis about the translation of terminology of air cargo transportation from the perspective of the relevance theory of linguistics, and the semantic translation of Newmark, as the theoretic foundation of the paper. Fowling part discussed the features of terminology of air cargo transportation, such as the professionalism, formality and practicability. In the fourth part, analyzed what are the main factors of influence to translate terminology of air cargo transportation. Finally, the paper showed some suggestions about that how to practice and improve the translation, summarizing the translation strategy of air cargo transportation. To choose conventional terminology, make retranslate and create new terminology. It is an enlightening paper to improve the translation ability of' the terminology of air cargo transportation and could make a guide to related personnel.
