Collocation Extraction And Measuring Research On Verbs/Nouns/Adjectives Based On The Corpus

With the development of the practice of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,vocabulary teaching is more and more valued by people, even is regarded as the center of teaching. Verb, noun and adjective are all very important parts of vocabulary.Based on this situation, this thesis intercept fifty single verbs, fifty double verbs, fifty single nouns, fifty double nouns, fifty single adjectives, fifty double adjectives according to the order from the researches of before. Then, we extract and analyze their collocations based on the corpus. Firstly, we use Ant Conc to extract their collocations from a database of Chinese language, which come from China Daily,Youth Digest, Reader and Novel Monthly( from 2003-2011). Secondly, we make artificial selection from the words that are extracted by machine to confirm collocations of each basic verb, noun and adjective as our research object.Finally,The thesis analyze errors made by overseas students in the use of Chinese from the angle of collocation. The error can be divided into three categories: the errors of grammar collocation/the errors of semantic collocation/the errors of pronunciation collocation.Then, we take the teaching of a double syllable verb “like” as an example, connect the collocation extraction and measuring research on Verbs/Nouns/Adjectives and the teaching of Chinese vocabulary, implement the teaching of collocation.The thesis observe the grammatical functions of these verbs, nouns and adjectives based on econometric analysis. It can help us to overcome the disadvantages of subjective restriction, which is caused by researches that rely on personal language sense. Objective and comprehensive empirical research can not only provide the collocation types and semantic features of the words we study to teachers and foreign students who learn Chinese, provide scientific language chunks to learners of Chinese,but also be helpful to the complication of Chinese Dictionary and Chinese book for foreigners.
