This is a translation project report on Designing to Heal: Planning and Urban Design Response to Disaster and Conflict of Chapter Ten by Jenny Donovan, an experienced urban designer, the principal of the urban design practice Inclusive Design. Chapter Ten describesideas, participators, attention points and typical process of designing to heal.This report is made up of fivechapters. Chapter One briefly introduces the summary and significance of the project and the structure of the report.Chapter Two is a brief description of the book's author, main contents,and linguistic features. Chapter Three explains Dynamic Equivalence and its application in this project, with a particular attention paid to its emphasis on what receptors get from target language should be the same as what original receptors get from source language. Chapter Four is adiscussion about difficulties met by the translator and their correspondent translationskills. Handling the long and complicated sentences is particularly difficult for the translator. To make the Chinese translation readable, the translator adopts such techniquesas division, conversion, substitution and so on. Chapter Five sums uplessons drawn in the process of translationand problems to be solved.It is hoped that the report will be useful to the study and the practice of the translation on urban design.
