As a translation report, this report chooses the excerpted WHO Report On The Global Tobacco Epidemic, 2015 published by World Health Organization. The translator's material, Steay progress continues but more is needed excerpted from the main body of the report, includesmonitoring of tobacco use and prevention policies, protection from tobacco smoke, offering of help to quit tobacco use, warning about the dangers of tobacco, health warning labels, enforcement of bans on tobacco advertising, promotion and sponsorship and raise of taxes on tobacco.Based on the translator's translation, this report consists of five chapters: introduction, an introduction to the source text, pre-translating preparation and difficulties, theoretical basis and translation approaches, of which the fourth chapter is the focus of the report. With the translation principle summarized in Constructivist Translatology proposed by LvJun as the guiding principle, this report explores the possible way for translation of long and complicated sentences and summarizes feasbile translation approaches for this with concreted translation practices.The report aims at providing beneficial information on the latest achievement in worldwide anti-tobacco campaign for Chinse civilian as well as guidance for the translators on E-C translation on such informative text.
