The multiple usage of “renjia”is an important grammar point in modern Chinese,which is also a major difficulty for overseas students to learn Chinese.Hence,the teaching of the multiple usages of “renjia” plays an important role in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Under the guidance of error analysis theory, inter-language theory and Second Language Acquisition,this thesis adopted the questionnaire method and corpus study method to conduct a survey and analysis of the error and acquisition situations of intermediate overseas students' multiple usages of “renjia”,in the hope of offering some help to the teaching of the multiple usages of “renjia”,so as to enable intermediate overseas students to better grasp the usages of “renjia”.The thesis is composed of four parts:The first chapter is the introduction part, which mainly illustrates the goal and meaning of the subject and expounds the research content, theoretical basis and research methods of this thesis.Chapter Two involves the research review and the classification of the multiple usages of “renjia” carried out in this thesis. The author combs the classifications and explanations of the multiple usages of “renjia” by various studies in the ontology research, and explores into the content arrangements of the multiple usages of “renjia” in the papers of teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.Chapter Three is about the error and acquisition situations of intermediate overseas students' multiple usages of “renjia”. On account of the research goal, we designed targeted questionnaires and analyzed the results of the survey. Therefore, we obtained the error situations of overseas students' comprehending and using the multiple usages of “renjia” and summarized the error types and causing reasons. we also utilized corpus research method to analyze the acquisition situation of intermediate overseas students' multiple usages of “renjia” and summed up factors influencing acquisition.In Chapter Four, teaching suggestions are given on the multiple usages of “renjia” in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. The thesis raised five teaching suggestions: grading teaching;using situational dialogue; adding communicative exercises; pay attention to the teaching method and deal with students' avoidance strategy.
