For a long time.The complement teaching occupies an important position in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The directional complement as one of the most frequently used one,become the emphasis and difficulty in Chinese teaching.For Italian students,the directional complement is difficult to use and hard to learn.On the one hand,there is not an identical syntax part in Italian which is able to be a correspondence part as in Chinese.On the other hand,the directional complement in Chinese have varied structure and complex content.Based on previous studies,second language acquisition theory,comparative analysis,error analysis and three dimensional grammar theory as the theoretical basis,by way of questionnaire,this paper make a comprehensive analysis of the errors in the process of Italian students learning directional complement.The error types are summarized from two important aspects :structure and semantics.The types of errors are classified and the causes of errors are analyzed.The cause of the deviation of the Italy students' acquisition of the directional complement is complicated.,except the negative transfer of mother tongue and target language rules of generalization,the subjective factors of learners,teachers and practice as well as the problems of the teaching material are important causes for errors.In the aspects of teaching strategies for Italian students learning directional complement,this paper puts forward some teaching suggestions,including: training students' Chinese way of thinking;arranging teaching contents reasonably;strengthen the extended meaning of teaching and make full use of multimedia teaching and game teaching method,hope can bring some inspiration and help to teaching directional complement.
