A Report On The Translation Of The Federal Bureau Of Investigation And Terrorism Investigation

This is a translation project report.The source text of this project is chosen from The Federal Bureau of Investigation and Terrorism Investigation,released by the US Congressional Research Service.Concerning about the text feature,the author of the thesis holds the proper opinion towards the static equivalence strategy proposed by Li Kexing,a famous professor of Hong Kong University of Technology.Theoretically,the static equivalence strategy is applicable to the translation.This report is composed of four parts;chapter1 is the introduction,including the background,objectives and significance of this translation project as well as the layout of the report;chapter2 mainly gives a brief introduction to the source text,content and textual features;chapter3 is the highlighting part of this report,consisting of difficulties and specific examples;chapter4 is the conclusion,consisting of lessons learned from this project and problems to be dealt with.
