Sports dance is a combination of sports and dance together that go through thousands of years until now. With China's policy putting teaching contents of sports dance specified as a compulsory course for students majoring in sports, gradually,sports dance in our social development has become a certain influence of sports in the society. Sports dance movement has gradually become one of the important choices of people communicate with each other and do sports in our daily life. Now in the society there are more and more people to participate in the sports dance movement and exercise. Even so, the development and teaching of sports dance in our country belong to the primary level, and there are nationwide and dramatic differences between the teaching and the development level. At the same time there are some unreasonable places.This article uses the literature material method, questionnaire, expert interview method, observation method, mathematical statistics, logic analysis and other methods to analyze the sports dance teaching level, and research the sports dance teaching mode. Researching process uses seven sports education majors of ordinary university in Gansu province, the basic information of sports dance teachers and students,curriculum, teaching mode of the five elements(guiding ideology, teaching aim,teaching conditions, operating procedures, implementation of teaching evaluation),and so on, to analyze the survey data and research, and to summarize present related problems, finally put forward corresponding suggestions.The research conclusions of seven sports dance teaching models of ordinary university in Gansu province are as follows:1.the sports dance teachers of ordinary university sports education major in Gansu overall structure strength is weak; 2.About the sports dance courses of ordinary university sports education major in Gansu,the teaching time is insufficient, affect the contents of the teaching content and the teaching effect; 3.sports dance teaching objectives and practice operation has certain deviation; 4.traditional dominant in operating procedure in practice teaching, ignore students' subject status, and theteachers are content with things as they are; 5.teaching method is single, teaching means lag behind; 6. in the evaluation index, the teacher unilateral evaluation scale is big, there is no quantitative evaluation content.The suggestions are as follows:1 ? to strengthen the construction of teaching staff and the exchanges and cooperation between colleges and universities. Regular precede professional assessment of teachers, improve teachers' teaching staff structure. Among ordinary universities organize teachers learn from each other in classes, listen to the experts lectures, practice and evaluation activities, writing reflection after class and so on. To precede multi-level and multi-angle communication practice, training teachers' teaching ability, improve the theory of teachers' professional accomplishment.2?increasing sports dance classes and at the same time change teachers' teaching ideas. According to the guiding ideology, teaching aim, teachers change the teaching idea, set up the student practical sports dance teaching content, and combine the school teaching and social needs, such as carrying out club teaching.3?combining with the characteristics of physical education major students, using the multidimensional teaching goal to set the appropriate sports education major sports dance teaching objectives.4?taking the student as the main body to adopt choice reasonably or optimize class procedures. In teaching procedure of the development from rigidity to flexibility,the teacher should fully consider when choosing class procedures, put students into main body status, and to realize the teachers' leading role and students' main body role effective combination, so as to improve the effect of sports dance teaching.5?the teaching method and means development from single to diversity. Can be taught to guide, still can keep on using some advantageous traditional teaching method, on the basis of this adopt new teaching methods. Such as the representationmethod, induction method and so on, it is suggested that greater use of media, image tools and the new teaching methods, to improve the quality of sports dance teaching.6?optimizing teaching environment. Recommended standard form room, at the same time sports institute set up sports dance association, invite the good sports dance coach or player to performance and teaching regularly, broaden students' horizons,increase the campus sports dance culture propaganda.7?to exist lots of teaching evaluation methods, the teaching evaluation in the form of diversification. Teachers can combine multiple evaluation methods to evaluate the teaching effect. To establish perfect and scientific evaluation system of sports dance to make objective and accurate evaluation for students.
