Arabic and Chinese belong to different linguistic families. The difference between them is very huge. In Arabic and Chinese, the function words have a great position in the sentence formation. In Chinese, we cannot say that the function word is prominent linguistic category. We can use it or we can omit it without any affect on syntax of a sentence. In many times, we regard these function words as unnecessary words. But in Arabic, function words have important role, especially in writing, we cannot omit it.This research contains one of these function words; Chinese adverb “Jiu(?)”, in Chinese language we find the strictness in its flexibility, and the flexibility in its strictness. For this, we realize the misusing of the adverb “Jiu(?)” by Arab learners.But Arabic language has a strict rule that we should follow it to make true expression.At the first this research make a classification between the usage and the meaning of Chinese adverb “Jiu(?)” and relevant expression in Arabic,. Also take Arabic-speaking learners of Chinese as an object, discuss the different usage and the problem of teaching Chinese adverb “Jiu(?)”, especially discuss the important type of mistakes for Chinese adverb “Jiu(?)” with analyze the reasons and put forward suggestions to solve this problem, to provide help and reference for Arabic-speaking learners of Chinese.
