Nowadays, business contracts and agreements as effective legal documents to stipulate the rights and obligations of the two parties involved play an increasingly significant role in the process of economic and trade transaction. Meanwhile, business translation becomes more prominent since it makes great contributions to the success of those exchanges. However, many of the translated business contracts are inaccurate, unprofessional and even awkward, not to mention some mistaken-translated messages. These unqualified translations lead to many legal disputes and financial losses, which is to a large extent due to the fact that when translating these business contracts, translators do not clearly understand the stipulations about the rights and obligations of the contracting parties, or because of the inappropriate diction or the ambiguous and vague statements as a result of inaccurate understanding of some of the technical terms in business and law issues.Based on the author's translation practice of E-C translation of the Sales License Agreement for the products and services of the 2018 Olympic & Paralympic Winter Games in a translation company in Beijing, this report systematically describes the whole process of the translation of the agreement, and focuses on the linguistic features of the Sales License Agreement.
