With the continual development of the global economic integration, the economic trade contacts between China and other nations of the world have been increased all the time. During the international economic trade activities, the business contract becomes a significant legal foundation for the Chinese or the foreign parties to conduct business and safeguard their rights and interests. Therefore, the translation of the business contract plays a significant role in the international trade activities, and the research on the translation of the business contract has become an important issue. In the increasingly international economic trade activities, in order to guarantee the commercial activities carried out successively, the conclusion and the translation of the business contract appears very important. The purpose of the business contract translation is to produce the target text with the same function as the original text and produce the same equal effect for the readers of the target text to ensure the transaction carried out successively.This paper is a Chinese-to-English(C-E) translation report, which comes from the translation business materials of the translation company where I do my internship. The translation text is a pre-sale contract of the real estate, including six parts of the Importance Notice, the Text of the Contract, the Appendix, Supplementary Agreement and the House Delivery Letter.This report includes five parts:The first part is Introduction, which simply summarizes the main background of the translation project, the reason for choosing the text, the contents and the features of the context;The second part is Task Description, which includes analyzing the wording of the translation project, preparation before the translation(containing the translation tools and books, literature materials), translation progress, translation checking and modification analysis, and also introduces the duration period of the task and the translation quality control;The third part is General Study of the Translation Theory. This part firstly introduces the western translator Eugene Nida who made a lot of contribution to the translation field and states the dynamic equivalence theory proposed by him and the development phases, and then introduces the main opinion of the dynamic equivalence theory and the translation principal from the macro and micro view, and its application during the translation progress.The forth part is the key part of the report, which systematically analyzes the main translation categories and skills in the case applied during the translation progress under the guidance of the dynamic equivalence theory. It combines with the features of accuracy, objectivity, expertise and complexity of the business contract, taking the pre-sale contract of the real estate as an example, from the lexical and the syntactic level;The fifth part is Conclusion, which makes a summary on the whole translation report and proposes some advice for the future translation activities and study.In short, this report will discuss the C-E translation skill and principle of the business contract from a comprehensive theory perspective---translation dynamic equivalence theory to provide the theoretical and practical guidance for the business contract translation to improve the translation quality of the business contract translation.
