Since seventeenth Century, the development of language teaching research has undergone various successes however has shown that language teaching alone is not enough for a successful second language acquisition. So researchers and linguists are working to find ways how to teach a language successfully. At present, there are different teaching methods, and different teaching methods have different effects on second language students' language acquisition. Due to the environment, culture, economy, education system and other factors, the influence of different teaching methods also may be different,therefore teaching method are a necessary tool in second language acquisition. Hence, it should be noted that the teaching of the second language and the application of the methods should pay attention to ensure that second language acquisition students have the greatest help required for a successful second language acquisition. The increase of Chinese peoples' interaction has resulted in the massive language and cultural exchanges. As more as China co-operate with other countries, the demand for Chinese language as a second language has also increased. In many countries in the world, and Africa in particular, the number of people learning Chinese language has increased. However, the overall rate of the acquisition of Chinese language seems to be very poor.Therefore, the focus of this study is to understand all the teaching methods, to find suitable methods of teaching Chinese in Zambia. The fact that in China, Chinese acquisition level is very high, so in order to find a suitable Chinese teaching method in Zambia, this study compared Zambia Chinese teaching methods and Chinese teaching methods.In addition to reviewing and bringing together all available data and information, this study also collected information from students studying Chinese language in China and Zambia as well as information from teachers teaching Chinese language both in Zambia and China. The research found that there are some suitable teaching methods for teaching Chinese.
