This tourist material is an introduction to Langshan Mountain, the National Geological Park, which is located in Xinning county, Hunan province. Tourist materials are always containing grandiose language, abounding in metaphors and citing classics. It is true in this material, apart from the description of local natural views, there are many allusions can be found. Due to the cultural differences between Chinese and western since ancient times, the translation of these allusions' cultural connotation could be very intractable, any careless would cause mistranslation or missing of translation. To deal with allusions' translation, the key is to use the direct or indirect connection between source language and target language and find out the intertextuality. This thesis applied this theory into its translation practice, and made a deep analysis on how to translate Chinese allusions into English properly. In the last part of this thesis, translator had summarized some translating strategies. To convey the original information of historic allusions as much as possible, the translator choose additional translation; to make the poetry allusions' translation acceptable to the readers, the translator choose explanation translation; to keep the familiarity of original proverb allusion's translation, the translator choose replacement translation.
