A Practice Report On Simulative Consecutive Interpretation, The First Half Of Automotive Aftermarket Summit 2015

With flourishing Chinese economy, international conferences are becoming more and more common. Thus, there is a booming demand for interpreters. As a major form of conference interpreting, consecutive interpreting is a frequently adopted form of interpretation among small and medium sized conferences and requires interpreters to analyze information and deliver them fluently with the help of personal note.Based on the simulative consecutive interpretation of the first half of Automotive Aftermarket Summit 2016, this report elaborates the interpreting process and analyses problems occurred in simulated interpreting. The author offers possible solutions to a better grasp of the main idea of a speech. The author also talks about Sense-based Theory and analyzes this simulated conference to guide future work.
