Under the impact of globalization in many aspects such as politics, economy, culture and so on, the communication among countries becomes more and more close, and the interpretation activities become more and more frequent. As one of the main mode of interpretation, consecutive interpretation has been used widely in many great international conferences and exchange activities. As English and Chinese belong to different language families, they have different branch structures. Such branch structure differences have become a big obstacle for interpreters to convert Chinese to English. At the same time, consecutive interpretation has a strong timeliness, so in the process of C-E consecutive interpretation, the interpreter needs to fully grasp the branch structure differences between English and Chinese and then reconstruct the language structure as quickly as possible when speakers are talking to each other, so as to rapidly and accurately output the translation easily accepted by the English audience.Based on the branch structure differences between English and Chinese, the thesis takes the interpretation for Premier Li Keqiang's conference addresses after the two sessions(the National People's Congress and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference) in 2015 as an example. In the thesis, the writer discusses the necessity of language structure reconstruction in C-E consecutive interpretation, then sums up the methods and skills of language structure reconstruction in sentence constituents and sentences that appear in the translated text. Therefore the writer illustrates that the differences of language branch structure between English and Chinese can not only bring obstacles to interpreters but also provide more scientific basis for reconstruction and give a reference to the interpretation activities.
