Investigation And Research On The Canal Boatmen’s Songs In Dezhou Section

Flowing through today’s Decheng District,Wucheng County and Xiajin County,Dezhou section of the Beijing-Hangzhou Canal is one of its important navigation sections.The canal boatmen’s songs maintained by this navigation section not only has the artistic features and practical functions of general boatmen’s songs,but also possesses the individual characteristics applicable to inland man-made waterways,and reflects the local color of the areas through which it flows.This paper takes the "the canal boatmen’s songs in Dezhou section" as research objects,analyzes the categories and lyric and song features thereof from their survival background,objectively describes the survival crisis of the canal boatmen’s songs,and puts forward personal opinions and recommendations for protecting the canal boatmen’s songs.The main body is divided into four parts:first of all,Dezhou section of the Beijing-Hangzhou Canal and the development general situation of the boatmen’s songs kept therein are introduced;next,the survival status of the canal boatmen’s songs is analyzed by counting the categories of the canal boatmen’s songs in Dezhou region in combination of on-the-spot investigation;and then the lyric and song features thereof are analyzed from the lyrics,rhythms,melodies and song structures of the canal boatmen’s songs;and finally,the survival crisis of the canal boatmen’s songs is analyzed and recommendations are proposed to protect and inherit them.This paper argues that the development and survival status of the canal boatmen’s songs in Dezhou region are influenced by various aspects,and the music characteristics are rich and colorful,wherein the labor mode is the key to affecting the above problems.
