With the emergence and popularization of the Internet,the production and dissemination of popular culture has undergone tremendous changes. “idol industry” is a concentrated expression of these changes.From the perspective of the Internet plus,this study analyzes the Chinese idol industry from the following four aspects:1. The old model of idol industry under the leadership of the traditional media platform.2. The Internet platform based idols shape3. The Internet platform based fans participation4. The trend of idol operation under the age of “Internet plus”This study suggests that with the innovation of media and technology in the age of the Internet,the idol industry has been changed dramatically,and this change also have reflection in the aspect of idol creation and fans participation in many different ways. In the aspect of idol creation,we can see the creation of online celebrities,the live of interaction between idol and fans,the promotion and marketing with crowd-funding and the crossover marketing of idols.In the aspect of fans participation,we can see the self-organization of fans and the participation of fans in the creation of idol,furthermore,with the popularity of the virtual idol,we'll see more creativity of fans in the creation of virtual idol. In the aspect of idol operation, we analysed the trend of “the platform-based idol intellectual property creation”, “the deep cooperation between idol and brands” and “the docking between idol operation and peripheral industry”.Throughout all of the idol industry,the emergence of the Internet made the process of idol creation from the “one direction?controlled?blindly accept ”to the “interaction?free?self-creation”,idol and fans gradually get rid of the control of the traditional performance agency to become an individual with power. Thishas leaded to the subversive change of the pattern of idol industry. The transition of the traditional performance agency have been caused directly by all the changes above. This indicates the development direction of pop culture production and dissemination.
