A Study Of Mongolian Traditional Handicrafts Making And Inheritance Way In Zhenglan Banner

As a part of Mongolian culture,Mongolian traditional handicraft has a long history and it is famous for its exquisite workmanship.It has very high artistic and cultural value with owning distinctive ethnic characters.As the development of the society and economy,it emerges variety of cultures,in which exactly the colorful Mongolian culture that closes to the daily life of Mongolians become the ethnic characteristic of Mongolian handicraft and fully shows the ethnic character,regionalism,aesthetic nature and continuity of traditional handicrafts.Under the impact of the industrialism,the Mongolian handicrafts making and inheritance has changed a lot.The using range narrows,the demand reduces,the amount of users lessens,and few new heirs left.All these status ques makes the traditional Mongolian handicrafts face the danger of disappearing.By combining the terms of sociology and folklore,this thesis studies the way of Mongolian traditional handicraft making and inheritance from the perspective of ethology and cultural anthropology in Zhenglan banner,Xilinhohhot city,Inner Mongolia by field survey,questionnaire and methods of literature analysis and analyzes the social function of traditional handicraft and explains the cultural functions from the view of functional school of ethology.This thesis is divided into three chapters.The first chapter entirely introduces the social and economic developing status ques in Zhenglan banner.First of all,Zhenglan banner is one of the world cultural heritages in which lies birthplace of Mogolian culture,and it is also the representative place of Chahar folk-custom and demonstrating base of standard Mongolian.Handicrafts in Zhenglan banner include more than two hundred kinds which include leather carving,ethnic clothes,Morinkhuur(horse-head musical instrument),silverware,felt drawing,Mongolian yurt,saddle etc,which are not only art and nomadic culture,even are belief.Second,combining the power of economy and society in the region,makes sure the traditional handicrafts develop more easily.Mongolian traditional handicraft is created by the herdsmen in their daily life when they are working,and is existed in people's simple life,which has long history,systematize itself and has great influence.It contains the features of aesthetic,practicability and ethnic regionalism.Last,it introduces the kinds of traditional handicrafts.This thesis divides the kinds of traditional handicrafts into three types by its making function: producing type,living type and religious type.The second chapter analyzes the making and the inheritance of the Mongolian traditional handicrafts in Zhenglan banner.First,it analyzes the making way of Mongolian traditional handicrafts in detail on the basis of culture ' s social character and diversity,historicity and inheritance.The making ways include family management,partnership making and small company making.Second,it talks the inheriting way of Mongolian traditional handicrafts.They are family inheritance,master and apprentice inheritance and organization inheritance.The third chapter discusses the facing difficulties of Mongolian traditional handicrafts inheritance in Zhenglan banner from the view of cultural function and endogenous developing idea according to the exact courses and and gives suggestions.Through uncovering the status ques and the facing difficulties of Mongolian traditional handicrafts which represents the ethnic traditional handicrafts provides the references to the protection of Mongolian traditional handicrafts and even to the protection of all ethnic traditional handicrafts.
