China and Myanmar are important neighbors joined by common mountains and rivers.Overseas Chinese immigrate to Myanmar are long standing and well established.Chinese language education emerge as the times require with the establishment of the Overseas Chinese community,which make a significant contribution in heritage Chinese language and Chinese culture,including bring up Overseas Chinese's offspring.Meanwhile,they bring up many talented persons for local place.Mandalay,as the second big city of Myanmar,lies to the middle of Myanmar is the center of economy,politics,culture and education of the upper Myanmar.Mandalay,as an important city of Overseas Chinese education,there are both traditional Chinese education model and new-style school,which characteristics have both typicality and representation of the upper and lower Myanmar,and unquestionably possess a high research value to the study of Overseas Chinese education of Myanmar.This study combined with literature research method,field survey method,interviews and other research methods.Taking a comprehensive understanding to school facilities,teacher status,teaching system,students situation of the Chinese language education in Mandalay through methods of the field investigation,the distribution of questionnaires and objects interview,etc.Overall grasp of the status quo of Chinese education in Mandalay through the first hand data analysis,and then study in-depth of the problems faced by the Chinese language education,finally put forward useful thinking and countermeasures.
