International Chinese teaching is not only a kind of language teaching,but also a kind of cultural teaching.It is spreading Chinese culture while popularizing Chinese language.As a unique carrier of Chinese culture,Chinese traditional art plays an important role in promoting and spreading Chinese culture to some extent.This paper selected some overseas volunteers of MTCSOL in domestic colleges as investigation respondents,and using the methods of questionnaire,interview,on its Chinese traditional art before entering the school,the Chinese traditional art lessons during the period of school,volunteers go abroad during the trainng of the Chinese traditional art training and overseas practice after this curriculum to provide feedback on investigation and study,combined with recent years to the Confucius institute(class)volunteer job skills required reports and overseas Chinese traditional art practice situation,summarizes present situation and characteristics of the Chinese traditional art courses,to explore feasible place and to strengthen it.Through investigation,we found that at present,the proportion of teachers in Confucius institutes has maintained a certain growth trend.In the process of exporting Chinese teachers,Confucius institutes should gradually satisfy the needs of international promotion of Chinese in terms of quantity and quality.During the period from 2015 to 2018,the Confucius institutes(class)' description of the position requirements skills with the increase of the year is more and more detailed,thus it can be seen,the Confucius institutes(class)teaching volunteers' selection,the proportion to the requirement of Chinese traditional art has been increased,it demands more and more details,pays more attention in the Chinese traditional art skills.In overseas teaching and cultural activities,the applicability of Chinese traditional art varies from region to region.For example,as a whole,Chinese traditional music and dance has the highest applicability in Confucius institutes on all continents.In addition,Confucius institutes of Asia,Africa and America have the highest application of martial arts and tai chi in activities,Chinese traditional painting and calligraphy have the highest application in Europcean Confucius institutes,Oceanian Confucius institutes are more inclined to national musical instruments in teaching and activities.According to the survey,the largcst number of Chinese traditional art courses offered by relevant institutions in China are(Chinese traditional painting and calligraphy courses,followed by martial arts and tai chi,handicraft,Chinese traditional music and dance,national musical instruments and other Chinese traditional art courses.The Chinese traditional art courses in related universities in China are not completely matched with their overseas applicationThe main parts of this paper are as follows:one is the definition of different types of Chinese traditional art courses;Second,the analysis of the needs and applicability of different types of Chinese traditional art in overseas teaching and activities.Third,according to the questionnaire and interview,analyze the general situation and existing problems of different Chinese traditional art courses.Fourth,combined with the overseas demands and application of Chinese traditional art,the author puts forward some suggestions on the cultivation of MTCSOL.
