With the boom of Chinese and the rise of Confucius institute,the cultural communication between China and the world is getting closer.The number of Chinese communication messengers going abroad is increasing and the number of international students coming to China to study Mandarin is also rising.Traditional Chinese culture is getting more concentration and the industry of teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages is getting rapid development and improvement.In the class of Chinese for foreigners of present universities,many of them will choose appreciating traditional Chinese culture to be their main goal of culture class learning,which is short of the concentration on the subjectivity and positivity of students.In the researches and discussions of the recent decade,people rarely did research on theme cultural communication activities for international students.In the present cultural communication activity design,there are not so many people designing the theme cultural communication activities that based on the cognitive theory,either.The writer has undertaken further study of cognitive theory during the internship in Shenyang University and Shenyang City College.These experiences gave the writer the inspiration of designing and practicing the theme cultural communication activities for international students that based on cognitive theory,which has gained great results for both the teachers and students involved.The introduction in the first chapter mainly introduces the gist and significance of the topic and the research contents and methods of this paper;the second chapter narrates the research overview of the theme cultural communication activities for international students.In the cognitive theory,the subjectivity and subjective initiative of students have been attached great importance.According to this theory,the design for the teaching activity should fully concerned about the existing knowledge of students,inspiring their interest of study,turning objective knowledge into the cognitive structure by teaching activities;The third chapter reviews the traditional form and practice of theme cultural communication activities for international students;The forth chapter is the most principal part in this paper,which offers an integrated designing scheme of theme cultural communication activities for international students under cognitive the theory.In this design,according to the combination of the cognitive theory and teaching design scheme,the writer takes Chinese knot,paper cutting,traditional Chinese painting,facial makeup and clay figurine as cultural themes,offering an integrated theme cultural communication activities design for international students.In the fifth chapter,the conclusion part summarizes the practical significance of the theme cultural communication activities design under the cognitive theory and puts forward some relevant advice.At last,the writer hopes the design and idea in this paper can inspire the international Chinese class and cultural activities in future,and make some efforts on advancing the development of teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages.
