With a profound historical culture and magnificent landscape,China is attracting a large number of foreign tourists.Due to the policy of opening-up,more and more visitors consider China as the first selection for tour, and China's tourism industry is thriving.A high quality translation of tourism text can serve as a role of communicating information, promoting the culture and attracting the target readers. Thus many experts and scholars attach great importance to it.However, some of the translated text is far from satisfactory.Under these circumstances, the improvement of the translation quality of tourism text has its practical significance. The thesis studies the C-E translation of tourism text of Beautiful Destinations in China.Theoretically speaking, everything has its purpose and translation must be done under the rules. It is the intended purpose that justifies the translation process and the methodology. The tourist text is typical informative and operative text,so the aim is to provide information for foreign visitors and attracting them to pay a visit thus accelerates the tourism industry.Based on the purpose and abundant examples, the author believes that the tourism translation aims to achieve the communication purpose rather than simple literal equivalence.During the process of translation, the translator should take the Skopos Theory into the consideration and adopt flexible methods in the translation. The author is guided under the Skopos theory, namely the Skopos rule, the coherence rule and the function loyalty rule, among which,Skopos rule is ranking first. And the translation methods include amplification, omission, and transliteration and so on.These methods are used in a comprehensive manner instead of in an isolated way in order to achieve the intended purpose and expectation.
