With the rapid development of global economy,the tourism industry of various countries also develops rapidly.Tourism translation is not only a common translation and but also has strong practicability.The translation quality of tourism text greatly affects tourists' interest.The ultimate purpose of translation is to attract tourists by transmitting relevant information.This report is based on the translation practice of the “Foreign Travel Advice” column of the GOV.UK,supported by Hans Vermeer's Skopos Theory.The author has selected more than 10,000 words as the original text,and no one has translated it.Through this translation practice,the author not only learned translation skills,but also improved translation level,and made contribution to the cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries.This report includes four parts.The first part is the description of the task,which mainly introduces the background of the task,the reasons for selecting materials and the meaning.The second chapter is the task process,which mainly includes pre-translation preparation,translation process and post-translation proofreading.The third chapter is the core part of the full text,which uses specific cases to analyze the methods used in translation.In the fourth part,the author summarizes the lessons and shortcomings in the process of translation.There are great differences between Chinese and Western cultures.To better spread the tourism culture of other countries to China,the author need to understand the cultural background and translate the text into a language that readers can accept and have a strong interest in,so as to truly achieve the purpose of cross-cultural communication.
