With the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Belarus,the Chinese government attaches more importance to cooperation with Belarus to encourage Chinese enterprises to "go out",and develop technological advantage to participate in competitive bidding actively.The Tender which is widely used in various international business activities is an organized translations and a key link in commercial trade.High-quality translation of the tender documents is the key to successful bidding and it's the premise of smooth cooperation between the two countries.This translation is based on Nida's functional equivalence theory as the guide to translate the 3-6 chapters of "Tender Document of Belarus railway electrification transformation",different from translation theory,the Functional Equivalence Theory proposed by Nida focuses its attention on readers' response.By reproducing the source text with appropriate and accurate equivalence in the target language,readers could have a way to experience similar feelings like readers in the source language.If the translation fails to reflect the meaning and form in the source language,instead of adhering to the original form,the translator could make an adjustment in both form an structure in a bid to reach the identity between source text and translation.Through the translation,the paper summarizes the use of professional terms,abbreviations,prepositions and gerunds in terms of vocabulary,and the use of passive sentences and compound sentences in sentences.These features make the language of the tender documents more specifications,clear concise and logical meticulous.In most cases,proved effective in preserving message and form of source text.However,some sentences must be converted with more flexiblestrategies as literal translation may lead to information loss or confusion.The author adopted the addition,deletion,word class conversion,word order adjustment,long sentence segmentation and other translation strategies which is based on the language of the tender documents to solve the translation problems in order to supply some basic ideas and referential experience for the translation of this tender document.The thesis is divided into three parts: introduction,text and conclusion.The first part summarizes the research background,the research significance and the research status.The first chapter summarizes the Nida functional equivalence translation theory and the bidding documents.The second chapter summarizes the linguistic features of the tender documents.Under the guidance of functional equivalence theory,The third chapter analyzes the translation strategies which is adopted in the translating of the tender documents from the three levels of words,sentences and chapters.The conclusion summarizes the translation.
