This is a translation project report on Chapter 7 of Crisis Communication in a Digital World by Mark Sheehan and Deirdre Quinn-Alan,of which Chapter 7 Media Target is the source text.This book provides an introduction to major crisis communication theories and issues management by using practical examples from Australia and New Zealand.It explores the role of PR specialists in different crisis situations,including natural disasters and corporate crisis and examines the challenges they face in a world where social media is a key source of communication.Therefore,the translation of this text not only helps us have an overview of the digital world,but also is conducive to solve crisis events of different areas by analyzing major cases and drawing effective strategies from them.This report covers an introduction to the translation background,translation task,translation procedure,translation theory,analysis of typical cases,summarizing of this report and lessons learnt from the translation practice.Based on the guidance of Skopos Theory,the author focuses on the combined application of translation skills in the sentences through the analysis of typical cases.And in the end of this report,the author,on one hand,summarizes regularities and principles of how translation techniques are employed in the sentences,and on the other hand,demonstrates her understanding and interpretation of this translation project.
