A Report On The English-Chinese Translation Of Experiment Thesis About Automobile Battery

This report mainly focuses on two experiment papers on automobile battery translated in summer practice,depicts the concrete process of translating and presents how to deal with difficulties in the practice.This report begins with the background of text selection and research questions.Next,this report describes the concrete process of translating,deliberately showing the whole process from preparation before translation to revision.This report further shows the features of vehicle battery text from the perspective of words and sentences.Words are characterized by specialized vocabulary,semi-professional vocabulary and acronym;the features of sentences can be concluded to inanimate-subject sentences,passive sentences and long and difficult sentences.Then,the author analyzes quite a few typical examples in terms of words,sentences,and charts from the perspective of translation methods,including addition and omission of words,translation of inanimate-subject sentences and so on.Finally,this report arrives at the conclusion which reflects the main findings,points out the limitations and gains in the whole process.This report mainly analyses the text of experiment papers on automobile battery,aims to describe how to deal with this kind of text with translation methods and strategies and helps the novice or non-translator to better understand the text.
