A Research Of Ancient Egyptian Writing Education

The invention and usage of words is one of the most important signs of civilization.The words play a decisive role in the development of human society and the inheritance of civilization.As an important role of the ancient civilization,the Egyptian has already created and used the word in about 3250 BC.This thesis takes the ancient Egyptian writing education as the research object,through the existing ancient Egyptian Literature and archaeological materials to sort out and research,with a view to further deepen the understanding of ancient Egyptian writing education.The previous scholars who researched on ancient Egypt education,mostly focused on a certain vocational education,secular teaching,education groups and so on,yet for the special education of ancient Egyptian writing is rarely concerned about.The thesis is divided into three chapters.Chapter One talks about from the definition of ancient Egyptian writing,and discusses the ancient Egyptian writing and the ancient Egyptian writing education,meanwhile,cardings the origins of ancient Egyptian writing and the development of various periods,and combines with the development of ancient Egyptian writing retrospect the development of ancient Egyptian writing education in various periods.Chapter Two is mainly discuss the ancient Egyptian writing education groups.It includes educators groups and the educatee groups.Because of the difference between the social background and teaching institutions,the ancient Egyptian writing teachers can be divided into five groups: family teachers,officer teachers,vocational teachers,monk teachers and scribe teachers.Due to the differences in family background and growth circumstances,the ancient Egyptian writing educate scan also be divided into the general family children and the noble family children.The chapter also reviews and introduces the writing tools.The material of writing pen which is made by reed in early and then by phragmites.The ink of writing included two mainly colors: red and black.The tablet and ink slab were essential to the ancient Egyptians daily writing.And yet there are different types of teachers in ancient Egypt,the teaching method is mostly similarly.Chapter Three mainly discusses about the influence of ancient Egyptian writing education to the aspect of the ancient Egyptian society's politics,economy,culture,art,ethic.At the same time,the role of ancient Egyptian writing education in the process of civilization in ancient Egypt has also been discussed.
