Vocabulary teaching is an important part of TCFL and the synonym is a tough job for those students whose mother tongues are not Chinese.In this paper,based on the research of HSK Dynamic Composition Corpus of Beijing Language and Culture University,I found that the words"Shi"(?),"Shijian"(??),"Shihou"(??)and"Shiqi"(??)are frequently used by foreign students and these words always confused them.Having studied literature materials,I found that scholars do a lot of analysis on"Shijian","Shihou"in two aspects of the perspective of the words itself and TCFL,but the research of"Shi","Shijian","Shihou"and"Shiqi"are rare and rarely even mentioned.Meanwhile,in respect of TCFL,the researches of these four words are concentrated in analyzing similarities,differences and errors with the group of"Shi","Shihou"and the group of"Shihou","Shijian",but research has not been deeply conducted yet.In this paper,I use different aspects like ontological knowledge,negative transfer of mother tongue,the goal language knowledge negative migration to analyze the reasons why errors happened in these four words and teaching design is established on that.The paper consists of five parts.Chapter One is the introduction about the whole paper,including the origin of the topics,topic value,current research and research methods.Chapter Two is the error type summary and analysis of these four words,based on the HSK Dynamic Composition Corpus of Beijing Language and Culture University,I divided the error type into three: taking the place by mistake,omitting and adding by mistake.Chapter Three is the causal analysis on the error type of these four words,the core of the paper,from the aspects of semantics,grammar,pragmatics,textbooks and so on.Chapter Four are some teaching designes about "Shijian","Shihou" in semantics and grammar.Chapter Five is the conclusion,summarizing the research achievements of this paper.This paper analyses the causes of errors with the words "Shi","Shijian","Shihou" and "Shiqi" together and some TCFL designs were made to solve those problems,hoping to provide some help for TCFL in teaching synonyms about time.
