Conciseness,flexibility and effectiveness are three major aspects introduced in Comprehension,Expression and Emergency Response(CEER)framework of interpretation analysis proposed by Li,Changshuan.This thesis analyzes how students apply skills in the three aspects to cope with problems by focusing on a case study of students' performance on a simultaneous interpretation class of GSTI,BFSU.The thesis provides materials for further study in interpretation teaching.When dealing with texts of colloquial style,interpreters should make the interpreted text as concise as possible.When coping with culture-loaded words,interpreters should accommodate cultural difference,be flexible and remove the restrictions of the form of the original text.When facing semantic ambiguity,interpreters should adopt proper strategies to make the interpretation effective.Interpreting skills are effective tools for students to deal with problems during interpretation.It is suggested that teachers encourage students to apply similar skills to enhance their interpretation ability.
