This is a practice report based on the consecutive interpreting simulation of the speech entitled “Listening to South Asia”.The speech tells about water and sanitary condition of vulnerable groups,including women,female adolescents,old people,disabled people,sanitation workers and transgender people.Through this lecture,the speaker hopes to let more people know about South Asia and help the South Asia.In this report,the author analyzes the problems and solutions of the problems and difficulties based on the interpreting quality.In the first chapter,the author gives a brief introduction of the task.Predictions of interpretation problems are written in the second chapter.In the third chapter,the author analyzes and solves problems under some interpretation theses especially from Gile's Interpretation Comprehension Equation.In the last part,the author will give the conclusion.Despite of many scholars have conducted theoretical studies based upon Daniel Gile's Interpretation Comprehension Equation,the author does an in-depth research with regard to integrating the Equation with practice in her study.The author will mainly study the first formula;especially listening,understanding,note taking and brain memory.All the analyses and solutions for problems in note-taking,proportion of note-taking and brain memory,translation of sensitive words,names of people and locations,differences in culture,deficiency in background knowledge,stammer and logic mistakes in this report are based on appropriate theories and practical interpretation.Finally,the author elaborates on the importance of preparation and daily practice and expressed her wishes of this article helping other interpreters in dealing with the same or similar types of speeches and reports in the future.
