With the deepening of globalization, the cooperation among countries has increased and English language has been a necessary communication tool for everyone. However, one who has a good language competence does not merely mean he can work as a competent interpreter. It is hard to finish an interpreting task for those who have a good command of English without professional interpreting training.Even in the field of MTI,the performances of interpreters are different according to their processes of practice. The report aims at exploring the transcription of experimenters'oral renditions in English-Chinese simultaneous interpreting and finding out the differences in their perception and expression. In this report, all the 13 experimenters are from the Foreign Languages College,Inner Mongolia University. They belong to three different majors, six of them are freshmen from interpreting major, other six experimenters are freshmen from translation major and the last one is a teacher who graduated from Inner Mongolia University and has worked as a professional interpreter for over 10 years. The experiment material is an excerpt of speech made by American ex-president Obama in a climate conference. The transcription of experimenters' recording is analyzed by survey method and case study. The experiment process is separated into three steps, which are presenting the performance of each experimenter, listing examples of each common problem and comparing the performance of experimenters.By analyzing the number of problems encountered by the experimenters, reasons that cause these problems appear accordingly. Both quantitative and qualitative methods are used in the case study of this report. The data shows that there are both similarities and differences among the performances of three experimental groups. The data of common problems varies from experimenter to experimenter.Ranked according to their frequency, these problems are:unfilled pause, filled pause, correction, repetition, misinterpreting and miss of interpretation. The author collects the data of all these problems in order to find the differences in perception and expression among these three groups. In addition to methodologies mentioned before, the survey of questionnaire is used for self-evaluation.Four reasons that cause these differences are found by the author through analyzing and summarizing the problems, which are:language proficiency, interpreting skills, amount of practice and the experimenter's mental status.Hopefully, this report can give some suggestions for the interpreters who want to improve their perception and expression ability in simultaneous interpreting.
