A Report On Translation Of Project Of Student Innovation And Practice

In recent years,the trend of innovation and practice is poised for a take-off.“Mass entrepreneurship and innovation,double-engine,group innovation space” have already appeared in the Government Work Report.As the center and source of innovation,universities should expand the span of students' innovation and practice activities to a further extent.In order to improve the innovative talents training mode with students being center and programs as platform,and to enhance students' innovation and entrepreneur capacity,Tianjin University thus determined to start the Project of Student Innovation and Practice(PSIP).Majored in translation and interpreting and entrusted by Tianjin University,the author,together with 7 other classmates,finished the translation task of Students Handbook of Tianjin University.Since the task is randomly assigned,in the author's part,PSIP plays a major role and weighs a lot.Therefore,the topic of the thesis focuses on this significant Project.Based on the language origin theory and guided by the evolution theory from Darwin,Verschueren,a famous pragmatic scholar,came up with the theory of adaptation in 1999 to elaborate language usage in a comprehensive way.The author firstly gave a systematic description of the task and then enumerated specific examples.With methods such as extension,foreignization etc.,the examples cover from words,sentences to context.A fruitful summary naturally came into being at the end of the thesis.
