The Contextual Adaptation Theory Guides The Ad Hoc Communication Strategy

This thesis,which concludes some interpreting experience in the opening ceremony of “Seminar on Ecological Tourism Development and Management for Developing Countries”,analyzes the types of problems during the interpreter practice,puts forward the countermeasures,and further explains application of Contextual Adaptation Theory in consecutive interpretation,hoping that it can help to lay the foundation in the future work for the better.This thesis is based on the author's own consecutive interpreting activities as the discussion object.After the analysis of live recordings,the author gives the classification of the seminar opening ceremony errors,and analyzes the strategies of how to use the context adaptation theory to give the response.This thesis is divided into five chapters.In the first chapter,the author describes the task of interpreting,and briefly introduces the “Seminar on Ecological Tourism Development and Management for Developing Countries”.The second chapter describes the process of interpretation..This part introduces the implementation process of the interpreter from the initial preparation activities to the interpretation tasks.The third chapter is an overview of the application of the theory of contextual adaptation in the interpretation.The fourth chapter is the core part of this paper.This part introduces the types of problems,solutions,and how to apply the theory of adaptation theory to the practice of cross interpreting.The fifth chapter summarizes the experience and the enlightenment to the future study.
