Report On Consecutive Interpreting Of Commentaries At China-Czech-Slovakia Friendship Museum In 2016

As a report on Chinese to English consecutive interpreting,this paper describes the consecutive task fulfilled by the author when introducing China-Czech-Slovakia Friendship Museum in 2016.In this report,the author analyzes and summarizes the typical interpretation cases through related translation theories and strategies.This paper can be divided into four parts: description on the interpretation task,description on the interpretation process,case analysis,and summary of the interpretation task.In chapter one,on the basis of task background and client requirements,the author makes detailed description on the interpretation task.In chapter two,the author describes the three phases of the interpretation process,namely pre-interpretation preparation,interpretation process and post-interpretation items.In key chapter—case analysis,the author analyzes typical cases from several perspectives with the interpretive theory,and makes use of strategy of simplification to tackle tedious listings and redundant expressions occurred during the interpretation process.In addition,the author rethinks about the modified expressions,mistranslations and missing interpretations.In chapter four,the author states the significance of pre-interpretation preparation and comprehensive quality to interpretation and makes expectation about the future study and work.Through this paper,the author hopes to have an overall grasp and deeper thought about this practice,and to provide helpful references for other interpreting learners.
