At present,the object of research in confidence is mostly focusing on college students,young children,and some professional group(such as athletes,etc.),but the research in self-confidence on junior middle school students is not very much.Junior middle school students are in the important turning point in the development of psychology and physiology,their self-confidence will have an important influence on their whole life.How about the current self-confidence state of the junior middle school students? Can group psychological counseling method improve the self-confidence and psychological quality of junior middle school students more pointedly and effectively? This study aims to discuss these aspects.Study 1: the survey in self-confidence status on junior middle school students.This study selected 1200 junior middle school students from Shi jia zhuang city,Hebei province as subjects randomly and makes a general survey through the middle school students' self-confidence questionnaire compiled by Luo Hong.These questionnaires are analyzed by SPSS17.0.Study 2: The group counseling intervention study on junior high school students.The experimental group has 24 participants,the control group has 30 participants.They are all come from the selected middle school in Shi jia zhuang city.The pre-test is made to the experimental group and control group separately using the middle school students' self-confidence questionnaire,the data of the questionnaires were analyzed by the SPSS17.0.The author designed a set of group counseling projects according to the six dimensionality of the middle school students' self-confidence questionnaire and the physiological and psychological characteristics of junior middle school students in order to improve the experimental group members' Confidence level.The experimental group accepted the intervention,and the control group didn't accept the intervention.After the intervention,the experimental group and the control group again fill the middle school students' self-confidence questionnaire,the data of the questionnaires were analyzed by the SPSS17.0,aiming to check the effect of the intervention.In the end of each group counseling activity,the author gather theFeedback Form written by examinees,and set the homework for the examinees.In the beginning of each group counseling activity,the author solve the puzzle of the examinees.The main conclusions are as follows:1.The junior middle school students' self-confidence state are in the middle level.2.There exists remarkable different level between boys and girls in some dimensions of self-confidence.3.There exists remarkable different level between different grades in some dimensions of self-confidence.With the grades of the students going up,their self-confidence in some dimensions decreased.4.Only children's self-confidence level is higher remarkably than non-only children.5.The students who are leaders in class have higher confidence level remarkably than others.6.Group counseling is effective to improve junior middle school students' self-confidence level.
