With the development of globalization, television media has become a major way of cultural communication. It has multiple forms.Sports communication is one of the most important ways. The last 2015-2016 season NBA finals attracted widespread attention from more than 200 media outlets including CCTV and Tencent Sports. It's a perfect admission of sports and television media. As this communication grows,it also has a higher demanding for professional interpreters. This thesis is a report of a simultaneous English-Chinese consecutive interpreting practice. The chosen material is a video of the famous basketball player Kobe Bryant's interview with TED during his “Asian tour” in July,2016.The video, launched in the form of interviews,is a form of media interpretation. It's also involved in sports interpretation. The author interpreted the talk show, analyzing, and summarizing the entire process, forming an actual report. This report consists of three parts, excluding introduction and conclusion.Chapter one,is an introduction to the background of the SI task, including the description of task background,of interpretation features of TV programs and sport events.Chapter two covers the description of the whole interpreting process, including pre-task description, interpretation process and post-interpretation process.Chapter three mainly touches on the case analysis in the interpretation process, such as the problems in the interpretation and the causes for the problems.Chapter four is the countermeasures to the problems in simultaneous interpreting(short for SI).For the fact that this practice is only a simulation of SI practice, the author tends to believe that there remains a great difference between her simulated SI practice and the real one,so there are some limitations. It is hoped that through this simulated practice,it can somewhat provide some valuable references for TV media and sports interpreters.
